I think you’ve just proven my point. I used to think that people who owned their own tools were weird, but now I realize that they are just weird to the rest of us. You can buy yourself a fancy garden trowel when you need it, but you also need to buy a power drill for it as well.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I own a high-powered garden trowel and I have to admit that I feel fairly proud of it. But you don’t need a power drill every time. A cheap garden trowel can do the job just as effectively as a power tool.
