I’m an avid plant lover so I’ve been using a humidifier for my plants for years now. It’s a relatively simple device that works just about every time. I get a great deal of satisfaction out of watching my plants and the moisture in their leaves grow better than they have in years. The humidifier is a must have for my plants, as well as my bedroom.
I can’t recommend this product enough. I have a humidifier that works flawlessly. I’ve used a few different types over the years and this is the one that I use now. It’s cheap, works great, and I highly recommend it.

Although our humidifier is great, it doesn’t do anything for me. When it came time for the new humidifier, I thought I’d be able to get away with just a regular humidifier, but I couldn’t. I have a couple of plants that do better with a humidifier, but even the best ones cant do much for me.
I have tried a dozen different humidifiers, and the best humidifier I have used was a little gadget that I bought off of the internet. I think I got it for $4, but Im pretty sure I paid $15 for it. The cool thing about this humidifier is that it has two tiny vents on the side so that when you put the humidifier on it’s cooler than the air outside.
The thing is, the best humidifiers in the world arent designed to get rid of mold and mildew. Mold and mildew are caused by a buildup of moisture in the atmosphere. Thats why humidifiers are good for plants. A lot of plants are able to tolerate a little moisture from your air. But if you cant get rid of it, you may prefer to place the humidifier on its side near your plants and allow the air to run into it.
This may seem like a weird strategy, but when a humidifier is on its side near a plant, the plant will not get wet and will not be damaged.
The humidifier works by pulling moisture out of the air. Which is good in the plant realm, but bad in the environment. So if a plant is in a humidifier, it will likely suffer from mold and mildew. You need to try several types of plants to decide which ones you’d like to try. A quick test is to look at what mold has already affected your plants. In our case, we got a few spots of mildew in the roof which was pretty bad.
There is a lot of information out there about how plants can get mold. One of the most important suggestions is to buy plants with no signs of mold, or buy plants from a reputable company that doesn’t use humidifiers or dryer sheets. If you do that, you’ll also want to get the plants with healthy leaves. If you get them from a reputable company you won’t have to worry about mold on your plants.
It can be a good idea to buy plants that are already growing well and not just buying from a nursery. Plants that are healthy and have leaves that are just starting to take on the green color are a good idea. In the case of humidifier plants it can be a good idea to buy the humidifier that is designed for the plant, not a plant that has an extra plastic covering on it.
