Just before Christmas, I was in a big house with a couple of really good friends. We were relaxing and they were having a lot of fun. It was all very calm and peaceful. I know that when I was younger we used to talk about how great hair was. I was always the hair guy, so I guess I am as well. But, I think that having bad hair still has its perks. Like, the next thing we know, we are all having a great hair day.
This is a great example of how to use hair to your advantage. Hair is a great medium in which to convey feelings and show emotions. Because hair can easily be damaged, it can be used to show us things that we could never otherwise express in words. It can be used to show a loss of control, a feeling of anger, or just plain frustration. In all of these cases it is difficult to show feelings without words.
It’s not just a good medium for expressing emotions, it’s also good for expressing ourselves. You can show feelings through hair by the way that it frames your face, the way that it pulls the hair away, or by the way that it is allowed to fall into your face.
It’s hard to express anger without words because anger is emotion. We tend to express anger through physical gestures, facial expressions, and body language. It is difficult to express frustration without words because frustration is a feeling. Our actions and reactions to frustration tend to be a result of frustration. We can only say “I’m going to be frustrated no matter what I do, so I’m going to be frustrated” without expressing the feeling, because frustration is a feeling.
